In this article, we will share how you can install Google Analytics on your AMP site (step by step).



HOW TO INSTALL GOOGLE ANALYTICS ON YOUR WEBSITE


Step 1: Log in to your site and go to your Dashboard. On the left-hand navigation bar, select "Google Analytics"


Step 2: Once you're on the Google Analytics Setting screen, click the "Authorize Plugin" button. Do not check "developer mode (requires advanced API knowledge)".

Step 3: Click on "Get Access Code". (You need your Google account)

Step 4: Sign in to your Google Account.


Step 5: On the next screen, you'll see this question: "Allow Google Analytics Dashboard for WP to do this?". Click "Allow".

This will give you a special code, which looks something like this:

Step 6: Copy & paste this code into the "Access Code" field. Make sure there are no extra spaces. Select "Save Access Code".

You'll be redirected to a "Plugin Authorization Succeeded" page.

Step 7: Navigate to Google Analytics to analyze your data. It may take 24-48 hours for data to begin populating after the initial setup. 



Viewing Reports on Google Analytics Website


Google Analytics is capable of showing you a treasure of data collected from your stats. You can view this data by visiting your Google Analytics dashboard and clicking on the reporting tab.

You will see the built-in Google Analytics reports in the left column. Each section is divided into different tabs and clicking on a tab will expand it to show more options.
