Want to repurpose your Facebook Live video?


Follow this tutorial to learn how to download your Facebook Live video from your Facebook Group to your desktop computer. Then you can upload it to YouTube or Vimeo, and even embed your video to a blog post or page on your website.

Directions:


  1. Go to the Facebook Group where your live video was hosted.

  2. Click on Videos from the left-hand navigation bar

  3. Select the video you want to download FBL-1.png

  4. After you click on your video, it will pop up into a new screen and start playing automatically. Just below the video, click the word "Options".

  5. Then, click on "Download SD". FBL-2.png

  6. You'll notice the video popped up on another screen. On this screen, select the download icon with the arrow pointing down on the far right side, just below the video. FBL-3.png

  7. As soon as you select that button, your video will begin downloading. You should notice the download at the bottom of your web browser. FBL-4.png

  8. Click on the video after it's downloaded to show in the folder.

  9. Right-click the video title to rename the file.  FBL-6.png

  10. Move the file to another location, if necessary.


After you follow these steps, you can repurpose your video! We recommend uploading it to YouTube or Vimeo and embedding the video in a new blog post or on your landing page or sales page.
