To create a course, you'll need to install the LearnDash plugin. LearnDash is the best LMS plugin, as an all-in-one solution with complete course management, lesson plans, quizzes, assignments, course progression, and more.
Installing the Plugins
For most WKG Fitness users, the plugins should be installed in yoon site, but if not, just go to your dashboard, then:
- Go to Plugins, Type in Search bar "LearnDash"
- Click Activate
Creating a Course
Creating a course, lesson or topic in Learndash LMS functions the same as creating a post or a page. To create a course, go to LearnDash LMS > Courses > and then click on the ‘Add New’ button.
Give the Course a title, then add a detailed description and any relevant content. You can also add course categories or tags, and a featured image.
Next, scroll below the content section and find the LearnDash course settings. Here, you will see the course options box. This is where you can set different options for the course including course price and what type, of course, it is: open, free, closed, buy now, or recurring.
Once you add the needed details and satisfied with your course options, remember to publish the course, you can click the Publish button in the top right in the edit page.
Creating a Lesson
You have finished creating the course. Now, it’s time to add lessons to the course. To create a course, head over to LearnDash LMS > Lessons >and then click on the ‘Add New’ button.
Creating a Lesson is quite similar to creating a course, you need to provide a title and start adding the lesson content. You can add text, images, embed videos, and more.
In the lesson setting, you can add the lesson to a course by selecting the course you created earlier from ‘Associated Course’ drop down box. You can also choose whether this lesson requires submission of assignments, lesson timer, lesson progression, and more.
Once you have done with lesson content, click the Publish button in the top right in the edit page.
Your lesson will automatically appear on the course page below the course details. You can repeat the process to add more lessons to your course.
